Will Eyelash Extensions Cause My Natural Lashes To Fall Out?

This is a common question especially for new clients and one worth answering. Rest assured that the answer is “No!” and here are a few reasons why…

At iLashCharlotte, we offer customized lash services which means we take the time to put together a custom lash plan for each client. During your consultation, we’ll review all aspects of your natural lashes including their curl, thickness and general health to ensure that you are a good candidate for lash extensions.

The health of your natural lashes plays an important role in how they will hold up with lash extensions. Your lashes, both with and without lash extensions, should be taken care of daily. When you have lash extensions, we recommend brushing them daily and washing them with a gentle lash cleanser to keep dust and allergens away reducing your risk for irritation. There are also a variety of serums you can use to help improve your natural lash health like Lash Affair’s Lash and Brow Growth Serum.

Quality products make a difference! At iLashCharlotte, we only use industry-leading extensions and adhesives specifically formulated for lash application. You’ll never have to worry about the health and safety of your lashes We use industry-leading extensions and adhesive specifically formulated for lash application. Unlike strip lashes, eye lash extensions are applied directly to your lashes (not your eyelid) so they won’t weigh you down- you won’t even feel them! If you have naturally sensitive yes, ask about scheduling a patch test and we’ll apply a handful of extensions to each eye with our sensitive adhesive to see how you’ll react.

Lastly, your lash extensions will shed naturally with your lash cycle without doing any damage to your natural lashes. As long as you don’t pick or pull at your extensions, you won’t experience damage to your natural lashes. We recommend getting refills every 2-4 weeks to keep up with your natural lash cycle.
